If you’re going to be having guests traveling down from one state to your event venue location for your event, the best option is to find a venue with proximity to hotel options would be beneficial.

2. Capacity and event size: Depending on your guests or attendee size, you should opt for an event venue that rightly suits your event guests’ size. Here’s what will happen; you will be paying for the capacity of the venue size that you do not need, your team will have a hard time delivering quality photos & images and of course, the decorator will have to charge you for the whole space even when you do not need that much. Pick a venue that very much suits your guests’ size. You will save unnecessary costs

and also get the very best out of your photographs.

3. Ambiance: As an event organizer, you must have a vision of what you want your event to look and feel like. If you’re planning a wedding, as a bride or groom your goal should be to bring your dream wedding venue to life. In doing this, one of the factors to consider when picking a venue is the ambiance you want and what type of venue will bring you that experience. Does the venue design suit your style, do you fancy their layout? When you ask yourself these questions, then you’re on your way to finding your ideal event venue.

4. Contract Flexibility & Refund Policy: It is very important that you discuss the possibility of a flexible and non-rigid venue contract. Ask them questions on whether or not you can change dates. In the case of cancellation, be sure to confirm what their refund policy looks like.

Remember to put your interest first and ensure the venue policies favor you before hiring the venue.

5. Ask your planner for Expert advice: A professional event planner's point of view shouldn’t be overlooked. For every viewing and inspection, make sure you go along with your event planner. They’re very experienced with working with venues and would make sure they ask the right questions with your best interest at heart. Event planners will also recommend venues to you. In most cases, this would save you a few $$ based on the relationship the planner has with some of those recommended venues.

6: Start your event venue search early: Overall, the magic ingredient of finding your ideal Event Venue is starting early, this would give you more time to explore various options.

Also, you would be able to book your most preferred date without lobbying at the last minute.

7. Parking Space: This is very underrated and doesn’t get much consideration. If your event type requires you to have a large parking space, you need to consider hiring a venue with enough parking slots. You don’t want to have guests going about looking for parking. Be sure to confirm with the venue manager if the venue has a parking lot or valet parking before booking the venue.

8. Consider the Venue's Reputation: Read reviews and seek references from others who have hosted events at the venue. Check for any potential issues or concerns raised by past clients.
