The creative force behind Bakers Cottage Cakes, Michelle, brings a rich background and a deep passion for culinary arts to her craft. Her journey began with fond memories of spending time in her grandmother's restaurant kitchen, where the love for creating sweet treats was ignited. Michelle's journey took her from Seattle, Washington, to New York City, where she acquired a degree from the Metropolitan Institute of Interior Design. Despite her diverse pursuits, her fascination with culinary arts persisted, eventually leading her to pursue a degree in Baking and Pastry.

Formally trained as a pastry chef, Michelle's education culminated in an externship under the guidance of award-winning Executive Pastry Chef Laurent Branlard at the Swan and Dolphin. This pivotal experience solidified her passion for the art of pastries. Subsequently, she assumed the role of head pastry chef at Foodie Catering in Orlando. It was during this time that Michelle discovered her true calling in cake artistry, a passion that was sparked by the opportunity to create a remarkable wedding cake.

In August 2015, Michelle took a courageous leap of faith and founded Bakers Cottage Cakes. Through this venture, she found the perfect intersection between her design knowledge and pastry expertise. Michelle revels in the opportunity to collaborate personally with clients, contributing to the creation of cakes and desserts that mark significant milestones in their lives.
