Born in Atlanta, raised in New York, and currently residing in New Jersey/Philadelphia, Kris "KDOT" Smith is a talented and versatile Black American DJ with a passion for music that runs deep in his veins. Influenced by his father, a New York DJ in the 1970-90s, and his mother, an avid vinyl and CD collector, KDOT's love for music began early in his life.

His journey into the world of DJ culture started in 2010 when he enrolled at Rutgers University-Camden. While organizing campus events and searching for DJs, he connected with diverse talents from the Greater Philadelphia area. Encouraged by fellow event DJs who recognized his great ear for music, KDOT decided to take his craft seriously and began practicing on DJ equipment provided by friends and colleagues.

In 2018, equipped with his own set of used and cost-efficient equipment, KDOT embarked on a journey of intense practice. Just three months later, he got his big break and was booked to DJ in one of Philadelphia's premier lounges. Since then, his career has soared, leading him to perform at various events both domestically and internationally.
