Our venue has a rich history dating back to the mid-1860s when it was originally commissioned by the Methodist Episcopal Church and named Walton Chapel. Though it faced a devastating fire, it was rebuilt 25 years later and renamed Mowbray. Over the years, it has served as a chapel and gathering space for neighboring farms. In 2017, after years of neglect, it was lovingly purchased by its present owners, Patricia Kirby and Peter Thornton, and transformed into the private and distinctive space that it is today.
