Robert's path then took him to New Orleans, where he served as the head designer for a doll manufacturing company, gaining invaluable experience in mass production and quality control. At the age of 23, he undertook the ambitious task of building a factory from scratch to produce children's clothing, a personal and professional milestone.

In 1990, Robert Bullock made his mark in the fashion world by relocating to New York and launching 'Robert Bullock Hats.' His millinery line quickly garnered recognition, with features on the cover of Woman's Wear Daily and acclaim as one of the "best new up-and-coming designers." His creations graced the shelves of prestigious retailers like Barney's and Neiman Marcus, showcasing his unique vision to the world.

Unbound by the constraints of ready-to-wear fashion, Robert ventured into menswear, establishing a presence in Neiman Marcus stores. However, his true calling was in bridal couture. In 1993, he co-founded Birnbaum and Bullock, a Couture Collection of Bridal Gowns, alongside design partner Steven Birnbaum. This marked a pivotal moment in Robert's career, allowing him to channel his creative energies into crafting exquisite bridal ensembles.
