About the Owner

Selfie Space is not just a venue; it's a labor of love created by owner and founder Renee Waller. As an Army veteran who served in Peoria's 1/106th Aviation Battalion for nearly a decade, Renee embodies the spirit of dedication and commitment. She is an accomplished individual, graduating from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign's Gies College of Business with an MBA in the Spring of 2023. Renee also holds a BBA from the University of Illinois Springfield and a PMP certification from the Project Management Institute.

Renee's passion for Selfie Space is evident in every corner of the venue. Much of the art on display is designed and executed by her family and friends, adding a personal touch to the space. Renee's dedication to downtown Peoria and her commitment to creating an inviting, creative environment shine through in Selfie Space.
