Having invested in and owned cigar bars across Texas, Chris's passion and expertise culminated in the establishment of Smokey's. In 2015, he and his wife ingeniously transformed a vintage 30’ Airstream trailer into a mobile cigar bar, complete with a well-stocked humidor and full-service bar. The mobile lounge, which served as the pioneering mobile cigar lounge in Texas, gracefully retired in 2020.

In 2018, a momentous collaboration between Chris Walling and Corey Burgess marked the genesis of an ambitious endeavor – a brick and mortar incarnation of Smokey's Cigar Lounge. This idea, sketched out on a napkin amidst a gathering of cigars, blossomed into a thriving reality.

Finally, on February 1st, 2019, the doors of Smokey's Cigar Lounge swung open to the public. Since then, this establishment has not only stood strong but also become synonymous with one of the finest cigar lounges nestled in the picturesque Texas Hill Country.
