Kassidy and Keegan, high school sweethearts celebrating eleven years of love, embarked on their journey as Southern Lit Events two years into their marriage. With a year-old German Shepherd adding excitement to their lives, they're a couple who thrive in fun, fast-paced environments. They share a passion for coffee runs, outdoor adventures, and DIY projects. Their love for seeing joy light up the faces of friends and family ultimately led them to establish Southern Lit Events.

The Spark That Started It All

It all began with a family member's baby shower that Kassidy and Keegan hosted. They wanted something special to express their excitement for the soon-to-arrive niece. After extensive Pinterest searches, research, and a few quotes, they realized that what they envisioned was beyond their budget. But they didn't back down from the challenge. Combining their expertise in graphic design and engineering, they created their very own 4-foot tall illuminated "BABY" letter sign, which became the showstopper at the shower. The positive feedback and buzz on social media convinced them to offer their event rental services to the greater Mobile area and the surrounding Gulf Coast regions.
